Business Center of the homonymous farm. The delicate landscape context has led to the design of a courtyard Masseria that incorporates the layout of the historic Apulian farmhouses, using this scheme to adapt to the planting of the centuries-old olive trees, which are totally safeguarded and protected.
The materials are those of the tradition of the farms in the area: whitewashed tuff for the external walls with inserts and window frames in carparo, roofing in tuff slabs, wooden window frames.
The new buildings have a strong thermal insulation and considerable thermal inertia to almost totally reduce the consumption of heating and cooling, use thermal solar panels to produce hot water and photovoltaic panels with storage for the production of electricity.
The water of all roofs is recovered in a large underground tank to power all the users.
HOSPITALITY AND INNOVATION:
HERE IS OUR APULIAN MASSERIA
Olère is an ongoing project, which wants to travel through time.
At the base is our gaze towards a future of rare beauty that combines modernity and tradition. Our return to the earth is not a return from ancients: we arrived full of experiences, of the baggage of what we are, also in the relationship with technologies and interactivity. Masseria 2.0 means for us to rethink the agricultural world in a modern way and yet always respecting the existing.
Our idea is to make Olère a place in which to share unique moments of meeting and visit, connecting to wi-fi because we need it for a thousand reasons, taking books from a library because we are thinking beings, chatting and tasting typical products together because we are social beings.
In Olère you will find all the respect, the calm and the attention you seek without necessarily slipping into a hermit dimension.
WHAT WE WILL DO TO CREATE
A BIO-SUSTAINABLE FARM
We want the anthropic element to be pleasing to the eye and in complete harmony with natural beauty. The recovery of the local construction and technological tradition will marry with the fundamental requirement of ecological and environmental sustainability. Thanks to thermal and photovoltaic systems and the collection of rainwater, we will create an almost entirely autonomous settlement both in terms of energy and water supply. The building materials and finishes used will be bio-sustainable, and we will remain faithful in all respects to the logic of minimal impact.
Everything we build will leave the main landscape views intact, in particular from the roads and points panoramic; the strips of Mediterranean scrub existing on the edges and within the property will be equally protected.
No secular olive tree will be uprooted from the place it has always occupied.
